IT ALL STARTED WITH A REDISCOVERY

Granite stone is millions of years old and consists of 3 crystals:  feldspar, quartz and mica.

These three crystals will revolutionize the champagne history. Granite has been used to store food for thousands of years.

  • Wine was first mentioned 8000 years ago, and it is known that the old portuguese used granite for wine production. But then all forgot several hundred years on granite.

  • Champagne was invented in 16th century  (Dom Perignon)

  • In 2014  granite, consisting of three crystals, was rediscovered for wine production.

AND IT BECOMES A WORLD NOVELTY REVOLUTIONARY

Current Champagne production:
The wine for Champagne is usually stored in steel tanks (more than 90% of the Champagne production) or wooden barrels.

Good wine needs an ideal amount of oxygen in the maturing process - and it should "breath slowly" In steel, wine cannot breathe. Sometimes the base wine is oxygenated with technical devices to improve the quality. In the oak barrel, the wine can breathe well  but receives secondary aromas. Some people like it, some not so much.

NEW IS NOW: THE GRANIT BARREL, THE CRISTALLINE METHOD
for the production of Champagne.

Because of the structure of the  3 granite crystals the wine can "breathe well" and receives the ideal amount of oxygen after 4 - 6 months of storage.

WHY WE ARE SURE THAT THE CHAMPAGNE WILL TASTE PURE - FRUITY - CRISTALLINE FRESH?

This security comes from the experience of our partner-winemakers since 2014, our top 4 and 5 star customers and the many professional ratings of the wine from the ganite barrel.
Everybody praise the fruitiness, purity and special minerality.

After intensive discussion and tastings of wines from granite barrel together with the experienced chef de cave from Épernay, the procedure for refining the base wine with the champagne method is clearly defined.

It is already certain that the champagne will be unique, just as the wine from the granite barrel will retain its pure, natural fruitiness - because granite is tasteless and gives the wine the right amount of oxygen.

The minerality becomes crystalline freshness through bottle fermentation and and dosage.

René Gabriel said:
The  natural stone wine Chardonnay is extremely fragrant and full of energy.
And most importantly, do not get tired of wood.
